The Mattie Williams Neighborhood Family Center depends on volunteers to help us provide our many services, programs and events. Many people in our community already have the commitment in their hearts and volunteer on a regular basis. However, we are always looking for more people who are willing to volunteer to help us achieve our mission.
Volunteers provide an invaluable gift to people in need; which is all of us at some point in our lives. As a volunteer, you can change one or many lives. Volunteer service is important to community growth. Won’t you join us in growing a healthy community?
Tips on How to Get Involved
- Volunteer for an activity you enjoy and for a cause that inspires your passion.
- Be realistic: Juggling family, work and volunteering can be difficult, but if you make realistic commitments, you’ll be able to make a difference while still man aging your life.
- When researching volunteer options, be honest with yourself and the organization about how much time you can commit.
- Start slow, you can always increase your commitment.
