We’re proud to welcome an extraordinary leader to the Mattie Williams Center Board.
Dr. Sharon Reid-Kane brings a powerful combination of vision, experience, and impact to our mission.
As VP & Chief Education and Community Engagement Officer at Ruth Eckerd Hall, Sharon oversees arts education programs reaching more than 60,000 students across Tampa Bay—expanding access, opportunity, and creativity for all ages and abilities.
Her career reflects a deep commitment to children, families, and community impact. She has been recognized as Arts Education Professional of the Year, received the Juvenile Welfare Board of Pinellas County's Cooperman-Bogue Award, and was most recently named a Tony Awards® Excellence in Theatre Education nominee.
Beyond her leadership, Sharon’s expertise spans statewide and national influence—from serving on arts and funding panels to mentoring the next generation of nonprofit leaders. With a doctoral degree in education, certifications in dyslexia studies, and credentials as an Autism Specialist, she brings a uniquely informed and inclusive perspective to the work we do.
"Sharon’s passion for education, the arts, and community aligns seamlessly with our mission to support families and children across Safety Harbor and beyond. We are honored to have her voice, leadership, and heart at the table," said the Mattie Williams Center's Executive Director David Hale.
Please help us welcome Dr. Reid-Kane to the Mattie Williams family!
