Building Renovation for Expanded Family and Community Support – Phase Two $750K
With the completion of the building expansion, the Center is now focusing on renovating its original 2,000 sq. ft. structure. This original facility, established in the late 1990s, has been a vital resource for the community for over 25 years.
PHASE TWO
Private Meeting Space for Clients:
- A new meeting room for clients will enable them to engage with staff, make phone calls, use computers, and access the internet—resources they may not have available elsewhere.
Dedicated Kids Corner:
- We will establish a new glass-enclosed Kids Corner, allowing parents to consult with staff while ensuring their children are visible and safe.
Emergency Response Site:
- It is our hope the Center will act as a distribution site for hurricane relief supplies, including drinking water, ready-to-eat meals, clothing, bedding, personal hygiene items, and cleaning supplies in collaboration with city, state, and federal agencies.
Solar / Gas Generator:
- The Food Pantry will benefit from a generator that maintains cold storage during power outages, thereby fulfilling the urgent need for food assistance.
